Singapore’s reliance on multi-cloud architecture.

A report from Nutanix shows that multi-cloud is the most widely used deployment model for IT environments, with the trend expected to rise to 63% in the next three years.

Singapore-based enterprises have a higher adoption rate of multi-cloud use compared to other APAC and global counterparts, with 38% of respondents in Singapore using multiple clouds, private and public, together as their primary IT environment. This is expected to increase in the next three years.

Despite the popularity of multi-cloud as the most used operating model, it still poses several challenges regarding cross-cloud management. Singapore-based respondents identified data integration (53%), security (50%), and application mobility (46%) as significant obstacles in managing multi-cloud environments. These challenges surpass global and regional averages.

Despite this, many enterprises are still struggling to operate across multiple clouds, private and public, while multi-cloud remains the only model expected to grow.

Cloud Infinity sets the foundation for StarHub to offer a wide range of Infinity Play services. In addition, the company has plans to launch Cloud-X, a secure platform for cloud brokerage. This platform will allow StarHub to offer sovereign cloud services to government agencies and businesses, providing them with a customized cloud network that satisfies strict data privacy and control needs.

For consumers, Cloud Infinity can enable the integration of Metaverse-like services, which can increase customer engagement through cutting-edge digital features such as augmented reality and holographic overlays.
